Sham came to my office to discuss an incident with a pair of the former ReVAMP soldiers making trouble again. This time, one obtained access to biological warheads. The dilemma, as Sham saw it, was that there was no way to erase the intruder’s cybernetic form from the Internet. Obviously, as I told him, his only alternative was to shut down the Internet. 

He was apprehensive. He wrung his hands going on about how many people depend on it, all the damage that would be caused, etcetera etcetera. 

“Look,” I told him, “If you have another option do it. Otherwise, don’t inconvenience me with this. The SNI research base is well equipped to deal with germ warfare. We’ll be fine.”

He paused before dismissing the strategy again. “Even if I wanted to…” he said. Before he could finish that thought, I handed him Lynx’s Project No. 15 on an external drive. 

I’ve tagged this report for later reference. I need to be careful of the amount of information the Deltas have about GK Gamma agents like Lynx. It would ruin my experiment if the Deltas knew of Gamma’s existence. Nevertheless, I weighed the options, and it seemed this slight risk that they track its origin was worth taking to prevent billions of human casualties.
